Tin Can Bay

125 Nautical Miles to Southport

From Yellow Patch to:

·      Pancake Creek to find some shells
·      1770 to buy 2 slushies
·      Bundaberg
We hired a car that was $40:00 it stunk like rubbish and the paint was coming off.
In the car we went to the Rum Factory. When we got there it smelt like rum! There was steam coming out of chimneys, it looked like clouds.
We went inside and got our passes. During the tour we saw some pictures. The rum factory exploded many years ago and rum went into the river and killed fish. There was a picture of a barramundi fish nearly 2 metres long, dead on the river bank.
·      Fraser Island
Alice had her 11th birthday
·      Tin Can Bay
At Tin Can Bay I fed a dolphin it was a bit scary because it could have eaten my hand! Didn’t eat my hand.

  1. Great BLOG again Finn. That must have been awsome feeding the dolphins! Hope you bring that bottle of rum home with you. Again really great photos. After all those miles you have travelled, Southport seems to be getting awfully close. It is raining heavily as I post these comments. See you soon.
